For those of you in the neighborhood that think - well I would love to try yoga but I don't have a "yoga" body or I don't know what to do or I feel like I am being stared at in class - this is the studio for you. The teachers are amazing and supportive and it is a woman owned business!

Great and very welcoming studio. So happy to have this in our neighborhood.

I hadn't taken a Yoga class in years. I was terrified to try a yoga studio in the city and be disappointed with the crowd it could attract. But when I stepped into East Side Yoga, I felt like I was walking into my very own oasis just a block away from home. The class was full of people at various levels and experience, but it didn't matter. The instructor was relaxed, hands on and helping everyone through their flow, and made me feel like I belonged! Four classes later and I'm hooked, constantly looking for opportunities to sneak in a quick flow before my day ends. Alia has most certainly met every single one of my needs in a Yoga studio.

I have been to a few classes with Alia and they have been AWESOME. I wouldn't say I am an expert by any means, but Alia's class made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Now I'm hooked! Definitely recommend :)

I wanted to let you know what a wonderful prenatal yoga class I had yesterday. It turned out I was the only one in the class (being Father's Day, perhaps) but I was so grateful to have attended--I felt amazing afterwards and she was great at one on one teaching. About ten more days to go and I'm very grateful to still have yoga in my life--thank you!

I love everything about ESY (except I wish they had more morning offerings)! The owner, Alia, is simply awesome - welcoming, calming, encouraging, and just a lovely person. That is also reflected in the staff, who all make you feel like you have come to the exact right place to get a great workout and a centered mind. ESY is an oasis in the city, with a gorgeous rooftop where classes are held in the warmer weather, and the coziest indoor yoga studio I've ever practiced in. The resident massage therapist is also superb. I am so glad they are in my neighborhood!

What a delight! This gorgeous studio is a fantastic addition to H street. Besides the beautiful decor and amazing rooftop garden, Alia (the owner) is a wonderful teacher. I look forward to meeting more teachers and students alike and continuing my practice at East Side.

Looked for a yoga studio for years and never found the perfect one until this place. Your day will melt away the second you walk up the stairs.

This place cares about the little details of the entire experience. Great atmosphere and customer service. They'll make you feel comfortable regardless of your yoga experience. The infused water is great, yoga happy hour was a great experience too. I don't live on this side of town but it's worth me visiting for Yoga after work.

East Side Yoga is truly a community gem. I've been visiting ESY for over a year and continually practicing there for the past 6 months. It really is everything that a yoga studio should be - serene, inviting to everyone, yet still challenging. I highly recommend ESY if you live in the community or even if you are just visiting for a short time!
