On February 16th, 2015, I embarked on the adventure of a lifetime. I opened East Side Yoga in the middle of the year's worst snowstorm, with an amazing group of supporters by my side to help me welcome the amazing group of yogi-neighbors who schlepped up to our studio amidst the blizzard to join us for opening night.
Opening a yoga studio in my neighborhood was never among the many, MANY possibilities that I explored during my long and winding journey away from practicing law and towards my as-yet-unidentified dream career. But now that I'm here, I know that I've finally found my calling.
To me, connecting with community is a beautiful and immensely valuable life experience that is all too difficult to find in today's world. To have such an incredible space to allow my neighbors, friends, and fellow yogis to connect with each other is truly a dream come true. From our location to our design to the many events we have planned, our studio is an ideal place for building community. And nothing thrills me more than coming up with new ways to delight and spoil my clientele - from the firefly-inspired lights in the ceiling, to the ever-changing selection of treats that will always be waiting for you in our lounge before and after class.
I've put a lot of love, care, and thought into every single detail of my studio. And I am immensely grateful to have found a team of teachers and Studio Managers who all love the studio as much as I do, and truly care for it as their own. I am confident that you will feel that love and care from the moment you enter East Side Yoga, and look forward to welcoming you in so that you, too, can treat yourself to this oasis from the everyday.
