tiffany arthur
Tiffany began practicing yoga in 2000 and took the slow route to becoming a teacher, eventually completing her 200-hour certification in 2012. She credits the gradual deepening of her yoga practice with helping her to find a perspective on yoga philosophy that has meaning for her.
Tiffany has been a runner since her early teens and has had to adjust her yoga practice to accommodate injuries acquired over her running career. Proper alignment is important to making sure she walks off the mat feeling good, and she works to instill such body and alignment consciousness in her students while trying to keep practices fresh, invigorating, and fun. When the weather is nice, Tiffany can often be found running, walking Lincoln Park, or gardening. She also moonlights as an agricultural economist for the federal government and spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa. She is thrilled to be part of the ESY community and to have a yoga home so close to her Capitol Hill home.
